So, you want to buy a WoW character? Sorry, but you will have to look somewhere else for that. No, we’re not being stingy, there are actual good reasons why you should never attempt to buy a World of Warcraft character.
They’re mostly the same as the reasons why you shouldn’t try to buy WoW accounts, but slightly different in some cases, so let us illuminate you. Stay safe with BoostBay!
Interestingly, one of the main reasons why people would want to purchase just a WoW character is because they’re moving from the EU to the US. In case you don’t know, it is absolutely impossible to transfer World of Warcraft accounts, game progress and items between regions.
Playing in a different region heavily affects latency and hinders your performance, so the only choice you’ve got is to get a new game license and start over. But nobody wants to lose their progress and achievements, especially if you are a top raider or pvp’er.
So people figure it won’t cost much just to get another character from somebody else’s account to match their progress. Frankly speaking, this used to be possible back in the day and many websites would have characters on sale. The feature is still available on your Battle. Net account page, but at the time of BfA, it has changed dramatically.
To transfer characters, both accounts must be registered under the same name. This is a major red flag, as under no circumstances should you ever share personal account information with a 3rd party because this would compromise your security. Not to mention that most items from collections and many achievements won’t be able to transfer due to restrictions.
Even if you somehow manage to pull off the name thing (probably by changing your last name) it’s highly possible that the original owner would contact support, file an account theft, and scam you out of your order without needing any actual incontestable proof on their end.
So instead of trying to google "WTB World of Warcraft character" or somesuch, use a proper boosting service. Like ours or one of our many competitors if you ever feel like we’ve wronged you somehow. Just remember that all direct purchases of this kind are bound to be a scam of some sort. Stay safe and we hope to see you again!
